This interview is a gem.

May I introduce you a pure artist and magical being – Nitsa Citrine. California born, cosmic light beam.
First stumbled over her beautiful and pure photography on instagram, I was enchanted straight away.
Her art and way of communicating  through the lens, connecting to plants and all beings is awe-inspiring and something else.
I am interested in how you can feel a connection to someone through their art and words – all while never even meeting in person.
Not only… is she the creative director for Sun Potion, a company for wild crafted transformational foods
”dedicated to health, happiness and well-being through the use of medicinal plants, superfoods and tonic herbs”
Being a medicinal herb/superfood/high quality advocate myself, I am wholeheartedly supporting companies like Sun Potion who are doing such good. Offering & sharing their knowledge with the rest of the world.
…she embodies a pure magical feminine energy, a lifestyle connected to nature & a spirit full of wisdom and kindness.

I am excited to share with you a glimpse into her inspiring conscious life. Bringing you closer to herbs & transformational tonics.
A delightful informational interview about the beauty in life, creativity, plants and love for tea.
Plus a delicious recipe for ”Super Potent Herbal Lovers Gems” which potent goodness I am enjoying right now while writing.
I feel enriched & so grateul to have connected with you Nitsa. Thank you for your devotion, passion & vision.

YOU ARE…

Nitsa Citrine

PATH OF SERVICE…

Offering my full attention and love to pro-human-and-planet projects, with the vision to create beauty and a high quality of life for all beings.

YOUR MISSION…

Celebrate this human experience. And – as Gary Snyder says – when I get it right, pass it on…

WHAT LED YOU TO HERE…

Curiosity, receptivity, obsession with quality, self-trust, surrender.

A TYPICAL DAY…

Morning Meditation. Tea. Tonic Herbal Potion. More Tea. Work – I travel often so the given environment is pretty fluid – though consistent daily elements include responding to emails, communicating with our Sun Potion team, photography, creative strategy, content, design, writing, meetings…. you get the idea. Then some green juice or a light chlorophyll-rich meal midday meal…. More work.  Then in the early evening I will make myself (and most days Scott) a relaxing herbal elixir. Then: I prepare dinner.  Eat dinner. Read / research / and then a little meditation or bath before sleep… I love the dreamtime. It is  a very sacred place  for me.

Note:

* Again, this may all dissolve If I am traveling….

** If I am not traveling, and am at home in Santa Barbara I make an effort to practice yoga, hike or dance several mornings a week… I love to sauna daily too.

Recipe?

So many !

— how do I choose?!? —

… Ok. just before sitting down to write this I made myself a “Super Potent Herbal Lovers Gems” which is different from the raw power ball (which I also make as a snack quite often…) because it does not contain any nut butters or fibrous ingredients… it is pretty concentrated in form and easy to digest… so I will share that! ( it put me in a GREAT, creative and cerebral yet grounded mood!!!)

RECIPE:

To make 12 bite-size gems:

In a small bowl, melt  3 tbs of raw coconut butter and 3 tbs of raw wildflower (or your favorite) honey  in the sun….

In a medium-sized bowl mix 1 tsp of each powdered tonic herb:

astragalus

pine pollen

he shou wu

ashwagandha

eucommia

(2tsp.) ashitaba

Blend these together – through the rainbow swirls of herbs and until they are a nice vibrant brown blend…

then add:

½ tsp. ginger powder

½ turmeric powder

1 tsp. cardamom

1 tsp. rose petal powder

½ rsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. anise

Blend into and through the multi-color spectrum until a warm brown blend of herbs and spices….

then, pull the (now organically solar-melted) Coconut butter and Honey into powders…. you will need to whip it in for about 5-7 minutes to get the consistency thick and ambrosia-like…. Then, scoop a half teaspoon into the palm of your hand. Mold it into a little ball then roll it between the palms until smooth….

Repeat this until you have used up  or “gem-ed” all of the material. Chill in the fridge – or if you prefer a harder, more taffy- lozenge-like consistency – the freezer.

Enjoy on their own, melted in tea or a warm potion, or add a few to raw granola / ice cream treats…
