A soul after my heart: Chloe Slattery. A woman so deep steeped in her wisdom and magic, she shares her journey openly to really integrate it and grow with each passing day…she cares for the earth and its people with strong passion and devotion. And we are gifted the goodness and wisdom she offers and shares with us on her website The Mojo Mecca as a photographer and web-designer & her YouTube Channel.
How amazing is the web to find each other so easily nowadays. Life only gets better when we are willing to dare greatly. Ever since I started the interviews I a humbled by what has come through. A collective gift of experiences, sharing and connecting. I can whole heartedly say that when you are on your path, you meet the right human(s) at the exact right time. For lessons and for growth, for showing you something that is already inside you and to bring out the best in you. When I started following Chloe I knew it was because of all of that. Everything and everyone you are inspired by is a reflection of what’s potentially possible within you.
Thank you dear Chloe for taking your time and joining the series. You are a gem. Thank you for showing up, for your service, courage, being vulnerable, for your trust and for sharing it! I wish the best for your unfolding journey!
A woman learning. Becoming. Fumbling. Rising. Dancing.
PATH OF SERVICE…
The one to truth. The one to realness. The one of full surrender to service. The one of bridging worlds!
Ah, as I said. To bridge worlds. From the world of spirituality to the world of mainstream. I do this through media. Through sharing potent messages, stories and vulnerable experiences with people. I’m here for a big collective mission to help the Earth come into harmony again. I’m doing my part day by day. Feeling humbled, excited and sometimes overwhelmed with this. But trusting that many people are also listening to the call that’s ringing in the ethers, beckoning us to step up and step out and to connect globally for mass change and revolution!
WHAT LED YOU TO HERE…
An ability to say yes to my growth and healing. A willingness to ‘show up’ and do the inner work even when I feel terrified.
A lot of alone time. A lot of time spent in nature listening to her.
A TYPICAL DAY…
Well right now my days are a little different as I just moved from a beach town to a city. I do usually like to spend time at the beach, though here i’ve been substituting that for long walks. Definitely always trying to connect with the natural world/elements daily. Whether it just be through smelling flowers and collecting plants to bring into my room.
I make websites for people right now, and create media, so a good part of my day is spent on the computer doing this. So it’s even more necessary for me to take nature breaks, or connect with friends to make sure I don’t go too crazy!
WHAT DOES BEING A WOMAN MEAN TO YOU?
Being fertile in love and in the ability to create beauty in the world.
Being willing to let all of the emotions move through me without resistance. Pleasure. Pain. Hurt. Ecstasy. Gratitude. Confusion. Strength. Peace.
Being able to be real, open, strong, honest, and vulnerable with people. Especially men. To break down that old, old, past memory engrained in us from generations of in-balance that says that men are above us, or that we should fear them. To show up as an equal.
Being comfortable with my sexuality, yet very discerning who I let into that space.
Knowing the power I hold, and taking it as an opportunity to support and hold others rather than exert dominance.
Celebrating life, the intricacies of nature, and my own inner radiance daily!
EXPRESSION OF CONSCIOUSNESS & SUSTAINABILITY?
Making all decisions from a place of awareness, love and gratitude. As much as you can.
Of not taking too much. Of just walking with what you need and deserve daily.
My consciousness grows daily when I fill my being with new music, poetry, art and images that allow me to see another perspective and expand my awareness.
WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?
To be alive. Truly. Everything. All of the elements.
The sun, the water, the fire, the wind, the air… it’s all so delicious and humbling and heart-warming. I bow in reverence!
YOUR IDEA OF HAPPINESS?
Ooooh. Short answer, being immersed in nature.
There’s so many scenes that come to mind.
Being naked on a long empty beach, basking in the sun and eating fruit.
Lying on the bed of a lush, mossy, green forest floor breathing in the smell of the rain and the trees.
Walking in a desert scape with incredible canyons surrounding.
Being on top of a mountain with my arms outstretched feeling the limitless potential of life!
Singing songs to the elements, to the creator. Praying really deeply!
All of these things are pure bliss.
PHILOSOPHY ON FOOD & WELLNESS?
A constantly-evolving journey. Something to find for yourself by listening to what your body (and soul!) need daily.
Personally, my body loooves greens and seeds, so I have a lot of them daily.
I love working with potent superfoods too, like medicinal mushrooms and cacao, ginger, turmeric… I make powerful ‘tonics’ every day with these ingredients.
And of course, nibbling on some delicious fresh fruits too.
That’s what I do!
Definitely important to really love and enjoy everything you’re putting into your body. To be grateful and appreciate the privilege we have to be able to choose exactly how to fuel ourselves. Wellness naturally occurs when we’re loving ourselves, listening to what we need, and being grateful.
WHO/WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
The smell of flowers. Jasmine. Roses. Lilacs. Lavender.
Eating fresh greens and herbs straight from the ground.
Seeing beautiful empowered people who are living their purpose and are filled with passion.
I’m so inspired by indigenous cultures and am in full reverence, respect and willingness to learn and continue past ways. Particularly the Native American, Peruvian and Aztec cultures are deeply inspiring for me.
I’m inspired by art, in all it’s forms. Definitely poetry. I love reading poetry.
To be willing to be humbled, and to release EVERYTHING!
You are far more capable, supported, and connected than you can even conceive. Trust. Rise.
Advice for women
Spend time really cultivating your own world, and passions, and love, and then step out and express that to the world in whatever form you can. Be an example.
Also, there’s no need to be perfect! Vulnerability is key.
Advice for success
Believe you’re worthy.
Advice for your younger self
You’re sooo beautiful, and precious, and supported, and loved.
See all challenges as lessons. Always be willing to be vulnerable and speak what you’re feeling. Check in with them daily to make sure you’re clear with each other and seeing each other in the highest light. Enjoy. Be in bliss! Appreciate them. What a blessing it is to be love and be loved in return.
