How to create a safe container = a healthy home within your body

Taking care of yourself through trusting life and letting go DAILY is as important as eating regularly and making yourself a nourishing bowl of food. It both can give you tremendous amounts of comfort and love from within. And it heals you! So more of that combination please. For everyone.

Nature knows, our bodies know and when you let it, your mind knows too – Seasonal food gives us exactly what we need. Essential here: no restrictions or harsh dietary rules. When I started to turn my life around & devote to a healthy lifestyle 10 years ago, plants became my medicine. I tried varieties of eating styles, limited myself at first which led to stressing and obsessing over food, rules and weight. But I cut all my self-imposed guidelines and began to free myself and let all of the planets foods and ingredients really have a positive impact on my health. Grounded in self-love and healing and listening to my needs.

Cabbage, dark leafy greens such as Kale and the vibrant citrus fruits are all abundant throughout winter for valid reasons. They are nutritional powerhouses & cold fighters.
Vitamin C = will be an important vitamin forever. Especially when you are in a cold climate. Safeguards us from colds and flus. Magnesium plays a large role in the development of serotonin, which is a major contributor to feelings of happiness!

Shiitake – pure medicinal and used for over 6000 years, this mushroom comes in fresh and dried form and is said to boost qi / life force. The shrooms were noted in some of the first books on herbal medicine written thousands of years ago. Pretty magical right? So how and why?

Brimming with protein, fiber, B vitamines and this list: Thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B3,6,9, C and D!!!, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, selenium and zinc.

Time to tap into a traditional and soothing recipe.
Kitchari is an ancient healing meal which balances your system and gives strength after a time of sickness, overworking and seasonal changes. It is often described as ”food for the soul” and serves our bodies with complete protein. I like to do 3-day cleanses during the cold times or when I am sick. Kitchari will make me stay warm and feel nourished. The healing can take place because it is extremely easy to digest, stables the blood sugar and helps detoxify the organs.

Those few days of mono eating are my favourite way to cleanse and I do it almost every month. When I feel a little bit under the weather or when I sense that my digestive system needs a break. During the cleanse my body can detox slowly and gently from all toxins in the tissues. It balances all my doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and my mission to balance internally – is supported.

With a Kitchari Cleanse you give your body a possibility and time to a break from all the wild mixed eating. For ideally 5-10 days you will eat Kitchari for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Improves overall health, digestion, metabolic functions, energy levels, healthy body weight, balanced elimination + sleep, grounding

Enjoy some screen free time with the sun & nature outside. Another habit besides eating healthy to prevent colds and winter depression = Movement and fresh air! Go outside, take a long walk in the sun, jump, run, smile, kiss somebody, breathe the longest and deepest breaths, come home, turn on your favourite song, dance around and feel the season.
